CLIENT SAFETY


To make things easier and less stressful for the dogs and owners we have installed a 48” X 48” X 72" dog kennel where the dog’s owner will drop off and pick up their dog(s). We have a dog door cut into the fence so all we do is open it and the dog(s) can then come right into the run where we have another kennel set up the same size as the outside one. 

We also offer doorway drop off and pick up for client dogs who are tentative about entering the kennel or going up stairs. We want their stay here to be fun and stress free. 



Please call or text us approximately 15 minutes prior to your arrival for drop off or pick up. This will give us time to get ready  for your dog (s). Please do not message us on Facebook Messenger, also do not email us that you are arriving in 15 minutes, as we do not monitor either of these regularly.


***ALL DOGS ARE TO BE ON LEASH WHILE ON OUR PROPERTY, NO EXCEPTIONS. 

Even if your dog is on leash please use our slip leads which you'll find on the hook by the All Dogs Must Be On Leash sign  by the driveway. This enables us to lead dogs in through the sliding door inside the daycare run. You can remove your dog's collar and leash once you get them inside the kennel. 

In some cases the combination lock will be attached and locked.  You'll be instructed as to what the final digit to the lock's combination  when you get to the kennel.  Place your dog(s) in the kennel, lock the door latch and depending on how your dog(s) are acting we'll let them in through the door into the run or wait until the owner leaves to make it less stressful for the dogs. There are poop bags  and a disposal bin attached to the kennel, so please insure you pick up after your dog. There is a food drop where you can place your dog's food.  Also there is a motion sensor hand sanitizer station set up that we encourage our client to use. 


DRIVEWAY ETIQUETTE:   

Please remain in your vehicle at all times when the client before you is loading or unloading their dog(s). Wait until they are done, back in their vehicle and have moved out of the drop off pick location. 


  • Not all dogs are good on leash and can be leash reactive. 
  • They can become excited in seeing a new person and break free from their owner and the last thing we want is an escaped dog. 
  • And if all these reasons aren't enough, when you stop, get out of your vehicle and are not at the drop off point, you've taken up a parking spot for another client. Believe me when I say we literally have 5-6 vehicles here at any one time  during our rush periods, so it's imperative that you move forward so people don't get hung out on the road. This road is very busy and we've had multiple accidents on the corner in the years we've lived here, so again, please stay in your car and move up only after the vehicle in front of you has left the drop off area. 


PICKUP:

  • Feel free to take your dog(s) right out to your vehicle on the leads that we have on them. 
  • Simply return the lead by hanging it on the planter hook out by the sign at the driveway.  
  • Please insure that the kennel door is securely locked before leaving with your dog to insure that it's ready for the next dog to go out.


ENTERING AND EXITING OUR DRIVEWAY: 

Please pay attention to the driveway signage. This is 100% for your safety. The 311 is an extremely busy road. Because of this we have implemented an entrance and exit to our circular driveway. Both are well marked. 


WEEKEND AND HOLIDAY DROP OFF AND PICK UP TIMES: 

As in the past our weekend and holiday drop off and pick up times are as follows:

9:00 am to 11am - 4pm to 6pm. 




Our safety plan and protocols are all safety driven and we pride ourselves in  going the extra mile to insure  the safety of our clients, their dogs and ourselves. 


DOG FOOD, SHAMPOO, TREATS AND SUPPLEMENT PICK UP:
We have established a drop off and pick up area for these items to the left of our entrance door.

All payments will be by way of e-transfers to: information@redwoofinn.ca


The only way this plan can work is with your cooperation and understanding.
